
The stress is one of the most important diseases that concern our world. In Chile, 55% of the population show to feel constant stress, already be due to work, studies or daily housekeeping.
This illness is so important, that many investigators have decided to study more thoroughly the reasons than us lead to a stressful episode and how we can minimize the effects that make us collapse.
The stress does not do distinction of social groups not of age, rather, any person is susceptible of suffering it.
To understand a little bit more about this subject, I have decided to give to you the principal characteristics of this mental illness, that it attack each time with more strong to the chilean population.
Acoording to the realized survey to the population, the factors that generate a profile of stress are the worries in the economic area, level of studies and familiar relations; on the other hand, the typical symptoms are: irritability, strain, tiredness, sleep disorders, stomach discomfort, excessive perspiration, nauseas, breathlessness, between others. Some of these symptoms can be so severe that could cause death due to increase the risks of suffer from depression (suicide), to terminal disease (cancer).
To prevent or treat the stress, is necessary that the person devotes a little time for itself, in a quiet place for think about the possible reasons of stress, and where he/she could look for and to plan some practical solutions (antistress therapies, breath deeply, massage therapie), or practise relaxation´s techniques (yoga) or even, practise some sport.
If the stress exceed us, the best that we can do, is to turn to a specialist, who will do to us a routine of relaxation and breath exercises, and if depression is detected, them more probable it is that will recommend a pharmacological therapy.
For all these reasons, is important to emphasize that when we detect the symptoms, the main treatment is change our hectic life.
